A36 Carbon Steel Plate is the workhorse ASTM structural plate for buildings, bridges, platforms, machine bases, and general welded fabrication on export projects. Procurement typically references ASTM A36/A36M with common commercial equivalents such as S235JR, Q235B, or SS400 only when the buyer accepts cross-standard substitution in writing. Lock thickness, width × length or cut-to-size plan, flatness and edge condition, surface (mill scale, shot blast, or primed), heat-lot EN 10204 3.1 MTC, and seaworthy packing for the destination port. Share grade/standard, dimensions, quantity, end use, inspection hold points, and port so the sales team can align a practical mill-linked export option.
