What does coating weight mean for buyers?
It is the zinc mass per area that drives corrosion life. Write the target coating in the RFQ and verify it against project climate and warranty rules.
DX51D vs DC01 for galvanized coil?
DX51D is common for forming and construction profiles; DC01 is often reviewed for thinner precision sheet work. Match the base grade to the process, not only price.
How should PPGL be specified?
Include base metal, coating, paint system, color, thickness, and width. Attach a color chip or RAL/code when appearance is contractual.
What packing protects galvanized coils at sea?
Typical export packs use strapping, edge protection, VCI or film, and moisture control suited to the route. Confirm stack and coil weight limits for the port.
