Overview
Specify whether the wire is intended for springs, woven mesh or another defined use. Select the stainless grade and governing wire standard for that application, then state diameter, tolerance and required delivery condition. Diameter alone does not establish mechanical performance.
Annealed wire and spring-temper wire are not interchangeable. Include tensile or other mechanical requirements where needed, together with surface acceptance, winding and unwinding limits for the receiving equipment. For machine-fed production, include the permitted coil or spool inside diameter and maximum package weight. Specify winding direction where it affects feeding, and identify restrictions on lubricant or surface residues. Confirm the inspection document and test criteria with the order, particularly where tensile properties or surface defects affect forming, spring performance or weaving consistency.
