Overview
Hot rolled steel coil feeds slitting lines, cut-to-length equipment, welded tube production and general fabrication. Start with the downstream process: a structural component and a formed sheet-metal part may need different grades even when the requested thickness is identical. State the governing product standard and full grade instead of treating familiar ASTM, EN and JIS designations as interchangeable. Black coil retains mill scale; a pickled and oiled route needs its surface condition and handling requirements agreed separately. For leveling, specify the finished sheet flatness and cutting tolerance. For slitting or tube making, include edge condition, width tolerance and any restrictions on coil welds. Coil inside diameter, outside diameter and maximum mass must fit the receiving line. Add inspection records, coil identification, packing and destination so the quotation addresses both material acceptance and unloading constraints.
Product scope
- Grade and standard are selected from the project specification; cross-standard equivalence is not assumed.
- Coil dimensions, surface, processing, inspection, and documents are confirmed from the RFQ.
