Product Description Cold-rolled coil is produced from hot-rolled coil at room temperature and below the recrystallization temperature. Products delivered in sheet form are called steel plates (also known as box plates or plates), while those delivered in long lengths and wound into coils are called steel strips (also known as coil plates). Production Process: Since no heating is involved, cold rolling eliminates defects such as pitting and scale that may occur in hot rolling. The resulting surface quality is excellent, with high surface finish. Furthermore, cold-rolled products offer high dimensional accuracy, and their properties and microstructure can be tailored to meet specific requirements, such as electromagnetic performance and deep drawability. Performance: Primarily made of low-carbon steel, cold-rolled coils exhibit good cold bending and welding properties, along with certain stamping performance. SPCC is a commonly used grade for cold-rolled carbon steel sheet and strip.
